How we handle the personal data of people who visit tiud.it, try Tiud from the form on the site or use the app at app.tiud.it. In short: we collect the minimum, we never sell or share your data, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.

Who is the controller

The data controller is Christian Serafino, Via Torino 36-38, 17019 Varazze (SV), Italy, tax code SRFCRS77E06D969N. For any privacy question write to [email protected].

The “try it now” form

Data: the email address you enter, the page language, the date, your replies to the test tiud (done, more time, question) and an encrypted fingerprint of your IP address, used only to limit abuse; the IP cannot be recovered from it.

Why and on what basis: to send you the test tiud you asked for and its follow-ups (two messages at most), based on your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

How long: 30 days, then the data is deleted automatically, unless you agreed to hear about news.

News about Tiud (optional)

If you tick the optional box, we’ll use your email to write to you now and then about Tiud and how to use it. This is internal use only: your email is never transferred, sold or disclosed to third parties. The basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by writing to [email protected] or replying to one of our messages; withdrawal doesn’t affect what was done before. We keep your email until you withdraw consent. If you don’t tick the box, the test works anyway.

Visit statistics

To know how many people visit the site and which pages they read we use Matomo, installed on our own server: no data goes to Google or other companies. Matomo runs without cookies and is not used to profile you. Basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how to improve the site (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Cookies

The site uses no profiling or third-party cookies. The only cookies are technical: for people signing in to the site’s administration and, in the app, for account holders. That’s why there is no cookie banner.

The app and contacts

Account holders on app.tiud.it give us their name, email, tasks and their contacts’ details to run the service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). For contacts’ data entered by a user, the user is the controller and we process it on their behalf only to send the reminders they asked for. Anyone who receives a reminder can stop them at any time with the link at the bottom of the message.

Where the data is and who sees it

The site, app, database and mail run on servers in the European Union managed by us. Traffic goes through Cloudflare, which protects the site and makes it faster, with appropriate safeguards for any transfer outside the EU (standard contractual clauses). If you choose to get messages on Telegram, they also go through Telegram, under its own terms. Browser notifications, if you turn them on, go through your browser’s push service (Google, Mozilla or Apple). Nobody else receives your data, except where required by law.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, correct or delete your data, restrict its use, receive it in a readable format or object to its processing (Articles 15-22 GDPR): write to [email protected], we reply within a month. If you think your data is mishandled you can complain to the Italian data protection authority (garanteprivacy.it) or the authority of your country.
